Mutton Kola Urundai

Mutton kola Urundai  is a very Popular South Indian starter dish. It is very  delicious and crispy recipe. It can be served as a snack or can be served alongside steamed rice, biryani and pulao.

    1. In a Blender, add 1 Onions, 5 Cashews, 1 teaspoon poppy seeds, 1 teaspoon Thillai’s Fennel seeds, 2 Green chillies, 1 inch cinnamon, 2 cloves, ¼ Cup grated coconut, 1 inch Ginger, 6 Garlic pods and Coriander leaves. Blend it to a fine paste by adding very little water.
    2. Heat a Pan. Add 250gm Mutton pieces, ¼ Thillai’s Erode Turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon Thillai’s Guntur chilli powder and 1 teaspoon Thillai’s Nattu Malli Coriander powder. Saute well.
    3. Once the mutton becomes dry and cooked well, remove from the heat. Let it cool. Add this cooked mutton to the blender along with the masala and blend well.
    4. Transfer to a bowl and add 2 tablespoon roasted gram dal powder, salt and mix well. You should be able to form balls out of it.
    5. In a Pan, add enough oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, keep the flame in medium and drop the balls one by one. You can fry 3/4 balls in a batch depending on the size of the Pan. 
    6. Fry till its crispy on the outside. Make sure you fry mutton kola in medium flame throughout.
    7. Once fried well, transfer to a kitchen tissue. So that excess oil is removed.

    Now Yummy Mutton Kola Urundai is ready!!
