Mutton Spring Roll

Mutton Spring Roll is a popular snack, usually it is made by vegetable but in this recipe the stuffing is prepared by mince mutton. Serve warm with sauce or green chutney.

  • 1 Cup maida
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar
  • ½ Cup oil
  • Water as required
  • 1 Cup minced mutton
  • ½ Cup onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Thillai’s Malabar Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger chopped
  • Salt as required

Preparation Method For Mutton Spring Roll

  1. In a bowl, add 1 cup Maida, salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, half of the oil and water to knead soft dough. Pat the dough with more oil and let it rest for some time.
  2. In a pan add oil, chopped 1 tablespoon ginger and 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped ½ cup onion, 1 cup minced meat and 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon ketchup. Add salt and 1 tablespoon Thillai’s Malabar Black Pepper Powder and mix until cooked.
  3. Roll very thin roti out of the dough, put the filling in the middle and roll tightly. Use a Maida and water slurry to close the roll.
  4. Deep fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Serve with a dip of your choice.
