At Thillais food safety comes naturally to us. Our processing units implemented HACCP food safety system as early as 2004 and we have since built on a strong foundation of food safety across the organisation and have been BRC certified since 2011.
However improving and updating our food safety systems is always a work in progress as our employees keep themselves updated on new risks and hazards and find ways to eliminate them.
All employees and managers spend time on the shop floor as well as time on training and attending food safety seminars and work shops.
A reward system in place has encouraged employees to come out in identifying risks and also suggestions to prevent risks.
We believe food safety is essential for all and have been assisting and guiding street food vendors/ wet market owners on the importance of good hygiene practices.
