Bombay Chicken Biryani Recipe

Bombay Chicken Biryani is a famous recipe from Mumbai. This Bombay chicken biryani is very famous in Pakistani restaurants and is prepared with a mix of spices.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 kg Chicken
    • 1 kg Basmati Rice
    • 4 tsp Oil
    • 2 tsp Ghee
    • 8 Onion Sliced
    • 4 Tomatoes Chopped
    • 4 Green chillies
    • 2 Potatoes Chopped
    • 5 Cardamom
    • 3 Cinnamon
    • 5 Cloves
    • 3 tsp Ginger garlic paste
    • 2 tsp Thillai’s Turmeric Powder
    • 2 tsp Thillai’s Chilli Powder
    • 2 tsp Thillai’s Curry Powder
    • 2 tsp Thillai’s Garam Masala
    • 2 tsp Mace and nutmeg powder
    • Salt To Taste
    • Water As Required
    • 2 tsp Lemon Juice
    • 250 g Yogurt
    • Fresh Mint leavesFew
    • Fresh Coriander leavesFew

    Preparation Method:

    Heat oil in a Pressure cooker.Add onions and fry till light brown and keep aside.

    Now add chicken in the pressure cooker and cook till water evaporates.

    Then add ginger garlic paste in the pressure cooker and all spices.

    Roast the chicken till it tenderizes. Then add onion, tomatoes, potato’s, green chillies, 2 tsp of Thillai’s Chilli Powder, 2 tsp of Thillai’s curry powder, Thillai’s garam masala, fresh mint leaves, fresh coriander leaves, fried sliced onions in the pressure cooker and fry for a minute.

    Simmer on low heat. Then take another pressure cooker, add water to boil rice.

    Cover and simmer for 5-10 minutes on low heat.

    Serve hot with Onion Raita.
