Urad daal Rice idli

    Ingredients:

    • 1 glass Urad daal
    • 3 glass Rice
    • Salt to taste
    • ½ tablespoon Soda
    • 1 cup Tuar daal
    • 2 dry red chilli
    • 1 Coconut pieces
    • Few Curry leaves
    • 1 teaspoon Asafoetida
    • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
    • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
    • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
    • 2 teaspoons Sambhar masala
    • 1 teaspoon Tamarind pulp

    Preparation Method:

    For Idli

    Soak daal and rice in water. After 4-5 hours grind them nicely. Add salt and soda and let it ferment for 6_8 hours. Boil water in idli cooker or stand.

    Grease the cavities with oil .pour ladle full of batter in the cavities. keep it in the cooker. steam them for 15 minutes.

    For sambhar

    Take thar daal wash it.pressure cook it along with veggies of your choice, add turmeric powder, salt Asafoetida in it. cook it for 2 whistles.

    mix it nicely after proper cooking

    Temper it with little oil in a pan.crackle mustard seeds, Asafoetida,curry leaves,red chilli dry ,sambhar masala,red chilli powde, Add tamarind pulp to taste.

    Yum idli,sambhar ready to be served

    Now tasty  Urad daal Rice idli  is ready to serve.
