This biryani is made from seeraga samba rice instead of using basmati rice. This Thalapakattu chicken biryani is very famous in the district of Dindugal. Seeraga Samba rice is easier to digest compared to basmati rice.

Ingredients
- 500g Chicken
- 400g Seeraga Samba Rice
- 50g Thillai’s Easy Biryani Mix
- 125 ml Oil
- 800 ml Water 1 tablespoon ghee
Method
Preparation Method:

Heat 125 ml of oil in a pressure cooker.

Add 500 g of Chicken until you get a pleasant aroma. Add 50 g Thillai’s Easy Biryani Mix and blend well with chicken pieces.

Now add 400 g Seeraga Samba Rice and blend well, add required amount of water (800 ml) and salt to taste, add 1 tablespoon ghee, pressure cook until you hear three or four whistles from the cooker.

Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Now tasty Seeraga Samba Biryani is ready to serve.
