Thinai Idli Recipe is a healthier version of the idli, this recipe is made only with foxtail millets and urad dal. Millet recipes are getting very much popular these days. It is a healthy alternative to the regular rice. It has more nutrients and definitely we can cook instead rice. It makes for a great breakfast idea even for diabetics.

For Idli Batter

  • 2 Cup Thinai Arisi (Foxtail millet)
  • ½ Cup Urad Dal
  • 1 Tablespoon Thillai’s Fenugreek Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

For Pandiyanadu Mutton Kuzhambu

Preparation Method for Thinai Idli

Making Idli Batter

  1. Wash and Soak 2 cup thinai arisi, ½ cup urad dal with 1 tablespoon Thillai’s Fenugreek Seeds separately for 6 to 7 hours.
  2. Drain water then grind well. Transfer urad dal, thinai arisi, fenugreek seeds mixture to a bowl mix well, add salt & leave the batter for fermentation (approximately. 8 hours).
  3. Grease idly plates with oil. Pour idly batter. Then steam it for 10 min.

Making Pandiyanadu Mutton Kuzhambu

  1. Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add 250g of cleaned mutton pieces.
  2. Add 50g of Thillai’s Easy Pandiyanadu Mutton Kuzhambu Mix With meat and saute for few minutes.
  3. Add 500ml of water and salt, mix well and let it boil.
  4. Cook on low flame for 20 min until meat become tender and the gravy Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Now healthy Thinai Idli with Pandiyanadu mutton Kuzhambu is very appetizing.
