- 1 Glass Urad dal
- 3 Glass Rice
- Salt to taste
- ½ Tablespoon Soda
- 1 Cup Tuar dal
- 2 Dry red chilli
- 1 Coconut pieces
- Few Curry leaves
- 1 Teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 2 Teaspoons Sambhar masala
- 1 Teaspoon Tamarind pulp

For Idli
- Soak daal and rice in water. After 4-5 hours grind them nicely. Add salt and soda and let it ferment for 6_8 hours. Boil water in idli cooker or stand.
- Grease the cavities with oil .pour ladle full of batter in the cavities. keep it in the cooker. steam them for 15 minutes.

For sambhar
- Take thar daal wash it.pressure cook it along with veggies of your choice, add turmeric powder, salt Asafoetida in it. cook it for 2 whistles.
- mix it nicely after proper cooking
- Temper it with little oil in a pan.crackle mustard seeds, Asafoetida,curry leaves,red chilli dry ,sambhar masala,red chilli powde, Add tamarind pulp to taste.
- Yum idli,sambhar ready to be served
Now tasty Urad daal Rice idli is ready to serve.
